Solis Indian Ocean Ltd is currently looking for a dynamic and a self-motivated Reservations Consultant to join the team
CANDIDATE PROFILE
- HSC / Diploma in Tourism Management
- Relevant 1-2 yrs’ of working experience would be a definite advantage
- Must be reactive and be able to respond to customer’s queries promptly
- Must be able to work in a team and be multi-tasked
- Must be flexible and able to work odd hours whenever required especially in high & peak season
- Must be well-organized and have good time management skills
- Must have excellent communication skills: Oral & written in English and French
- Must be computer literate
- Must be dynamic, creative and ready to go the extra- mile
- Must have a positive attitude
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Handle requests / bookings/ quotes received from Tour Operators, direct customers and/or from any other source/markets.
- Dispatching of emails among the team ensuring that the workload is distributed equitably
- Ensure that responses are on time, acknowledged with proper follow-up
- Keep Reservation Managers/Executives/Supervisor in the loop, early morning, re number of requests/bookings/quotes received and being dealt with
- Respond to queries received from Tour Operators by email, skype and/or Phone as per defined procedures.
- Liaise with internal & external suppliers on a daily basis, for services such as; Accommodation, Transportations, excursions, weddings, golf and any other service which is requested by the customer
- Input & update confirmed bookings on the Reservation’s Booking System, for maintenance of customer’s database, reservations and billing purposes
- Issue pro-forma invoices for all bookings which are confirmed – For Tour Operators who have a ‘Pre-payment’ agreement, to follow-up and close monitoring of payments as per procedures, in relationship with our Business Support Team
- Issue booking vouchers for our Tour Operators, as soon as payment is received.
Issue supplier’s vouchers for our suppliers as soon as the bookings are confirmed and finalized - Do profiling of the customer and upsell services, whenever required
- Manage room inventory / stop sales of hotels
- Work closely with the Sales & Marketing Team, in promoting a personalized approach to Tour Operators account management
- Daily verification of arrival lists and provide necessary support to the Operations Team (Airport, Customer Care, Planning) when required
- Deal with supplier’s contracts and special offers for Tour operators
- Any other business related to reservation activities.
